Brandon Statner is a musician, actor, and singer-songwriter. Brandon is twenty-five years old and plays the guitar and the piano. He plays in an accoustic and energetic style. He is a recent graduate from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he was awarded a bachelors of arts in physics. When he is not reading or chatting, he can usually be found behind a guitar or a piano singing and/or writing.
A Life in Music
Brandon has gigged around the Santa Barbara and San Francisco Bay areas playing at restaurants, farmers markets, pubs, wineries, and for any audience he can find. Playing covers of classic rock, folk, and generally upbeat and meaningful music.
Brandon began learning the guitar at the age of 14 in his sophomore year of high school. Having sung in choir all of middle school and in his high school’s Golden State Championship winning concert choir, music came easy to him. He learned the piano his junior year in order to perform “Imagine” for his choir’s “Pop Concert”. In the short span of a month, he went from zero knowledge and ability on the piano to performing solo in front of an audience of 400 people. Since then he has never been far from his guitar or piano, including acting as musical director for two musical shows: Naked Shakes under the UCSB Theatre and Dance Department and TEACHER by Paul Forster. Brandon continues to evolve in his playing and performance abilities on both of his instruments, playing and practicing anywhere and everywhere anytime he can.
